This review is after a year of wearing: Overall not bad for the ~$90 I paid at the time for the pair - feel like I got what I paid for and initially the only problem I experienced with them was a pinching in the front of the shoe when walking from the stiffness. As others have mentioned, this wears off over time though I will say it was so bad at first that it would hurt to walk and leave a mark on my foot. After I broke them in, however, they were incredibly comfortable and I used them heavily everyday since for a decent amount of walking around the city and out in the elements. They are supportive without looking too much like outdoors shoes (that being said, I never felt like these were "fashion sneakers" - definitely not for even casual dress). They've held up well over this time, with the exception that the back lip of both shoes is showing wear, and one actually ripped open exposing the white cushioning inside - hence I'm saying it's time for a new pair of shoes. They'll be Ecco's for sure, as overall the brand has been good quality, but it won't be another pair of these.Pros:+ Excellent color and can pass for regular sneakers+ Comfortable and very supportive once you break them in+ Soles and seams still going strong after a year of regular wearCons:- Cloth around the lip of the shoe could have been more durable - both shoes wore through in the same place- Tight and very stiff until broken inNeutral:- Not fashion sneakers but definitely good shoes for those that do considerable walkingThe shoes looks very nice with colors consistent with the pictures on the amazon website.The quality of the workmanship and the material is excellent.However they run very narrow (hence only 4 stars).Shoe does have very good arch support but unfortunately I could not wear it for more then 15 minutes because of the narrow width but has excellent support.This would have been a very good alternative for sneakers.If you have narrow feet then I would recommend you getting this. Hopefully you will enjoy it.I love this shoe. It has a smooth dark leather surface and is very comfortable to use in situations where your job involves moving up and down and yet you want to maintain an official look. I just wish it was a little lighter, thats why i didnt give it all five starsMy husband loved the shoes. He bought 2 other pairs through Amazon. Your shoes are by far the best of the 3 pairs. They were comfortable the moment he put them on and needed no break-in period.Start off a little small but stretch to your foot. within a few days of wearing. Shoe is stiff and heavy made in china.Shoes fit fine, but the color was darker than expected.Probably the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have owned in my life. It's like you do not want to take them off. :)Too narrow, had to return them.I have particularly wide feet and Ecco is one of only two brands I know that make shoes wide enough (the other being Salomon). These look like good comfortable everyday shoes and if they're anything like my last two pairs of Eccos will last for years. I think they also look a little better in real life than in the photos.Stiff at for while. Not sporty in a cushiony way. They work well for my needs as a discreet walking shoe to work.They rubbed blisters on my husband's feet. Not the usual Ecco quality, probably why slightly cheaper..look nice but if slightly tight they really rub the back of your heels. I get serious blisters and I cant stretch them.Good quality, good price, good fit. Quite heavy and stiff, more like a walking shoe.
