I own 4 business casual ECCOs. I give them a 4-to-5 star rating. This is my second ECCO athletic shoe - I give this one 3.5/5 stars (I rounded up, maybe due to my brand loyalty). The shoe looks and fits great, however I am not truly impressed with the cushion of the sole. The forefoot and heel cushion individually feel fine; however, it's how the two are joined. It feels as if there are two types of cushion feels rather than a seamless feel. The heel feels a bit higher at the mid-sole creating a gap-like/uneven fit. Albeit, I will never run in these - however they look great for a casual day out with jeans or a dark pair of shorts!My very first impression was these are far too lightweight for the price. But they're now laced up & I'm trying them out. The fit is very comfortable. Feels like bedroom slippers but that lace up & have fairly good (not great) arch support. There's a stretchy cloth like, mesh material that makes up the tongue as well as surrounding the entire ankle. This stretchy material comes up about 1/2" higher than the actual shoe but it works. Looks good & feels good. Plus I have room to use my custom inserts for flat fleet. The factory inner soles are removable if extra room is needed for orthotics. I've included 2 or 3 pix. Uh, pls overlook the white socks.I have not worn them yet, just tried them on. The arch support seems high but I think they will be fine once they are worn. I wear a size 10 and these shoes come sized, 10/10.5. I would rather have. 9.5/10. If you can help me with that, let me know. I had been looking at this shoe for quite some time. Amazon had the best price!!! I will start to wear them if I can not exchange them.The style is so poor, but the material is nice as most of ecco products. If you care about the looking of your shoes then don’t buy, but if you only concern about how they feel then buy. They fit as expectedI do not like them because:* They are too narrow. Even my dress shoes of the same 43 size are wider.* They are too tight at instep.* They are not breathable despite of perforation because of not breathable fabric inside which covers the perforation. I wore them once, walked about 40 minutes on evening, it was only 25 celsius degree but my feets got wet with sweat. It would not happened if I had worn my adidas or nike sneaker.* The sole in the middle inner part has a bump.I’ve also bought similar Cole Haan perforated leather sneaker of the same size, their size and width are OK. They also do not have unbreathable fabric inside.comfortable shoes for every day.The shoes felt a little tight (somewhat small) so I ended requesting a return and up ordering next size up.
